How does the calculation work?
The calculation turns your attack and lethality into a damage factor for each troop type. Then it applies the archer advantage against the Bear and finds the best balance between infantry, cavalry, and archers.
Factor = (1 + Attack / 100) × (1 + Lethality / 100)
- Infantry receives weight 1/3
- Cavalry receives weight 1
- Archers receive weight 4/3
The higher a troop factor is, the more room it earns in the formation. But because damage uses the square root of troop quantity, a mixed formation can still beat sending only archers.
